Patient Care Assistant - Surgery - FT - Variable hours
The Patient Care Assistant is an unlicensed, specially trained member of the Surgical Nursing Team who works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position provides direct patient care for patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric by assisting the surgical team, giving comfort measures for patients, maintaining a clean and organized environment and performing non-technical or clerical duties as assigned. Education:
One (1) year favorable work reference if employee has a work history.
Licenses/Certifications:
Must maintain BCLS Certification.
Other:
Ability to organize and set priorities to complete workload in a timely and efficient manner.
Ability to maintain cooperative and effective interpersonal relationships with hospital and medical staff.
Must be able to work within a team environment that requires consistent, accurate and precise communication among team members.
Sharing of information and knowledge is essential.
