Cleans all areas of the hospital, performs linen duties and picks up and disposes of trash as needed.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning duties in all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, clinical areas, common areas, Surgery, ER and Women's & Children's as assigned.

Performs laundry duties as needed including sorting, washing, drying, folding, counting and distributing as needed.

Follows universal/standard precautions.

Performs isolation/precaution cleaning as needed.

Uses proper hand washing techniques.

Wears facial masks and other PPE to clean as indicated by Isolation signs posted on the door of room to be cleaned.

Wears gloves while cleaning and changes gloves after each room.

Re-stocks soap, paper towel, toilet tissue and deodorant dispensers as needed.

Mixes and uses cleaning chemicals in a safe manner following the correct dilution.

Puts wet floor signs out when mopping an area. Removes signs when dry.

Reports items/furnishings in need of repair.

Pick up and dispose of all trash in a proper manner including regular, infectious and hazardous waste streams throughout the hospital.

Brings Red tubs/Infectious waste to storage area as needed.

Refills linen exchange carts as needed.

Cleans and restocks cleaning cart as needed.
