The Welder is responsible for welding metal components with welding equipment to fit and join, fabricate, and/or repair heavy and large mechanical products per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Joining or severing metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacture plants, and weld parts, tools machines and equipment.

*Build up warn parts by welding layers of high strengthen hard metal alloys into them.

*Selects type and size of pipe, and related materials and equipment according to specifications

*Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly and welding applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage.

*Duties may include operating various types welding equipment (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW).

*Often responsible for understanding and applying good mathematical, science, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities.

*This is a rig welder position
