business process solutions to provider groups, independent physician practices,

than 30 health care organizations and manage more than $2.5 billion in
receivables and managed care services each year. Today, we have a team of over
1500 employees and we are continuing to grow. The HR/Benefits
Coordinator coordinates all aspects of benefits processing for SPS including
(but not limited to): a.
Processing
all enrollments and changes into the various benefit plans b.
Maintaining
accurate records of employee enrollment into the various benefits plans c.
Responding
to all benefits inquiries and questions in a timely manner d.
Open
enrollment planning, benefits fair, reviewing and maintenance of virtual
benefits tool, files, and data entry of application (if applicable) e.
Performing
the billing and collections of unpaid employee health, life and LTD insurance
premiums f.
Conducting
benefit invoice audit and reconciliation and creating invoice and payment
request for insurance vendors The
HR/Benefits Coordinator also acts as the onsite help/back up for the Safety and
Wellness Manager and assumes various health and safety responsibilities. The
HR/Benefits Coordinator performs additional administrative responsibilities
including (but not limited to): a.
Maintaining
appropriate databases and computer files (PCD, employee files, etc.) to provide
accurate and timely statistical reports. b.
Processing
of all Personnel Action Notice changes. c.
Updating
Lawson records with pay increases, performance ratings, etc related to
Performance reviews d.
Processing
and data entering all Personnel Actions into the Lawson database including all
new employees and employee personnel changes and submits appropriate paperwork
to Payroll in a timely manner e.
Producing
monthly New Employee report to EDD
f.
Completing
verifications of employment for Utah employees The
ideal candidate for this role is one who is detail-oriented, accurate, and will
thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment. At the same time, it
is critical for the incumbent to be proactive and process improvement focused. Minimum
Requirements: 1. An AA degree in Human
Resources or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and
work experience 2. Experience in insurance
eligibility or employee benefits involving a high volume of work processed with
a high degree of accuracy. 3. Ability to process multiple
complex tasks simultaneously. 4. Working knowledge of MS
Office, including Word and Excel. 5. General knowledge of State
and Federal Wage and Hour Laws, Unemployment Insurance Regulations, and EEO
law. Preferred
experience/skills: 1. Course work through the
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) program 2. Knowledge of Federal
regulations relating to COBRA, OBRA '93, FMLA, HCFA, HIPAA and other laws and
regulations governing employee welfare benefit plans. 3. Experience with HRIS,
preferably Lawson.
4. Knowledge
of accounting principles and knowledge of computerized HR/Payroll systems.
