Minimum Requirements:

1. High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

2. Two years of experience performing general labor work, including 6+ months operating any type of industrial or agricultural equipment (such as fork truck, man-lift, farm equipment, construction and/or factory shop equipment)

3. Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree or trade school certificate in a skilled trade such as HVAC/R, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, etc.

2. Ability to obtain a fork truck operating license

3. Experience operating heavy earth moving equipment.

4. Experience with high pressure washing systems.

5. Experience operating a PC with Microsoft Office suites.

6. Experience operating both ride in and walk behind floor sweepers.

* This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Physical Requirements:

* Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

* Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.

* Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

* Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

* Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

* Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

* Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.

* Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.

* Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

* Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

* Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Special Requirements:

* Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

* Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Job Description:

URS, an AECOM company, is seeking heavy equipment Operator / Laborers on a casual status basis in East Peoria, IL! These are multi-skilled positions with opportunities for future advancement with appropriate skills and education.

Candidates must be flexible. Casual status positions do not guarantee a minimum number of work hours and provide limited medical benefits.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Drive personnel shuttle vehicles, maintain trash, operate fork trucks and floor sweepers, and perform general maintenance and housekeeping duties

* Drive heavy equipment to and from wash bays, operate high pressure wash cannons and/or wands to clean earthmoving equipment and fleet vehicles (light duty trucks and cars),

* Ship, receive, store, deliver, package Prime Product Machines, modular units or components, parts, and engines.

* Coordinate with team members the logistic handling of material at the site, physically handling and/or using material handling equipment (e.g. various fork trucks and other material handling equipment, including medium and large wheel loaders with forks) for moving the material.

* Count, weigh, or measure material that is received, stored, delivered, into the inventory records. Reconcile material records as is needed. Use a personal computer to transact all material movement using the client's Storage System and Work Order / DUT System per the client's request.

* Fuel and grease vehicles, water dirt roads, power broom hard surfaces, perform snow removal work, and salt roads and walkways using various heavy equipment such as wheel loader, skid steer, larger trucks, telescoping material handlers, scrapers, graders, fork trucks, and aerial lifts.

These positions also perform general labor functions for the site, including filling service stations, emptying garbage, sweeping, cleaning building infra-structure, setting up generators and light plants, and delivering equipment and tools to the field for use.
