The Key Account Manager for Retail Sales contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by executing a selling strategy in assigned retail accounts. This person is responsible to manage key customer relationships to include negotiating customer agreements that deliver against annual operating plans while successfully delivering against the customer's expectations. The KAM must develop strategic account plans in order to create sales proposals yielding profitable account development and growth. Further, this person must prepare and conduct quarterly internal presentations to ensure senior management alignment on plans and strategies.

* Maximize volume and revenue in key assigned accounts by utilizing fact-based selling methods

* Cultivate strong relationships with customers

* Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance

* Ensure customers are complying with PBC contract requirements

* Work closely with the Selling Operations team to improve overall customer satisfaction

* Analyze business trends to develop business growth strategy

* Building effective relationships with the customer team is critical to success and therefore requires the Analyst to link with key contacts within the customer team to ensure strong customer based execution of tactical programs.

* Building and maintaining TPM planning models and communicating changes to internal finance staff to ensure alignment.

* Ensuring that aligned events that require on-ticket pricing changes and/or off-ticket adjustments are entered into all applicable systems in a timely manner (TPM/Deal/Customer Portals).

* Becoming aware of business trends, economic conditions, customer developments, competitive activities, historical category learnings etc. to make forecast recommendations and highlight potential issues within the current Customer build.

* Assisting in delivery of planned net revenue, trade spend and MC objectives, in a manner that is consistent with the strategic direction for the business.

* Completing regular CDA and trade spend reconciliation reviews on a weekly/period and quarterly basis as well as regular pricing deduction reconciliation.

* Ensuring the forecast is accurate and reflects the latest thinking on in-market execution and underlying performance trends

Undergraduate degree required, Bachelor's degree in Finance / Business preferred

3+ years sales and/or management experience, preferably in the retail industry

Demonstrated people and leadership skills with track record of achieving positive business results

Solid understanding of category, customer, consumer and competitive activity with ability to integrate knowledge into a compelling sales story

Strong team building/collaborative relationship skills, given interaction with key business stakeholders

Strong analytical skills to understand market performance and identify potential risks and opportunities in the forecast

Solid project/time management capabilities

Ability to work with and understand multiple systems (multiple sources of data)

Computer literacy including Excel, PowerPoint and Word and willingness to learn other business related systems

Previous experience doing forecasting and variance analyses with sales/volume and P&L is preferred

Comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Two plus years of work experience in business or financial planning preferred. Experience working in retail related industry also relevant
