The Service Manager is responsible for supporting the store locations

goal of meeting or exceeding the sales AOP (Annual Operating Plan)

targets. The Service Manager supports these goals by managing the

service department with a leadership style that focuses on protecting

assets, ensuring optimal performance of the associates working on the

vehicles, and scheduling technicians based on the business &

customers needs. The Service Manager is responsible for maintaining a

safe and clean store environment that delivers quality work on time

to the customer. In addition, the Service Manager will lead the way

in training, coaching and developing service department associates to

keep their vehicle knowledge and safety information up to date and

focusing on their career path. The Service Manager will also ensure

that PIMS (Parts Inventory Management System) is being used properly,

parts are purchased appropriately and the equipment is functioning

safely and within compliance guidelines. The Service Manager will

complete all other duties as assigned.

* High School diploma or GED required

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or automotive field desired

* Experience in the automotive industry or retail industry

* Two or more years experience managing two or more people

* Experience communicating successfully with customers, associates and management

* Experience in profit and loss (P&L), budgeting, hiring, training and managing inventory

* Working knowledge of Excel and of Microsoft Office products

* Understanding of inventory control methods and accountabilities

* Basic understanding of tires, tire related services, automotive services and of retail business environment

* Understanding of the financial impacts of pricing, discounting and margins

* Understanding of basic math principles

* Execute multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and composure

* Valid driver's license and the ability to drive company and customer vehicles is required

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grip, handle, lift/ carry up to 60 pounds, and push/pull up to 60 pounds up to 2/3 of the work day

* Must also have the ability to lift / carry over 60 pounds and push/pull over 60 pounds up to 1/3 of the work day
