Lead Technician

Device Pitstop, a national franchise, is NOW searching for an EXPERIENCED technician for our new store located in Minnetonka, MN. We are looking for a self-starting, dedicated, and hardworking technician EXPERIENCED in PC, Apple, and mobile device service.

• Do you know how to tear apart a computer and put it back together?
• Are you the person everyone calls when they have a technology question? Do you know how to remove viruses and malware?
• Do you know how to get around and work in Windows XP through Windows 8?
• Do you know Apple and Macintosh hardware and software?
• Can you replace the glass and/or LCD on an iPhone or Android phone?
• Do you use a Linux computer more than a PC or Mac?

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior work experience as a computer technician is REQUIRED (prior lead tech or shop management is preferred)
• Prior experience with PC’s (Windows) is REQUIRED
• Prior experience with Apple/Macintosh products is REQUIRED
• Prior work experience with mobile phones/tablets is preferred
• Very strong technical aptitude
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Interested in new products and technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service oriented

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day
• Lifting up to 40 lbs, without assistance
• Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and stocking merchandise.

COMPENSATION:

• Full time position
• Hourly based on experience
