Kohl’s is currently hiring Seasonal Credit Greeters!

Position Summary:

Responsible for greeting customers and offering them the opportunity to apply for a Kohl’s Charge; providing customers with the benefits of the Kohl’s Charge, providing information regarding the Kohl’s Charge and responding to questions about the store. Assisting store to achieve credit goals by soliciting, processing and activating new Kohl’s charge accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Charge Solicitation

  • Approaches customers as they enter the store or while they are shopping. Demonstrates to each customer the benefits of having a Kohl’s Charge. Explains the credit terms and conditions to customers who may have questions.
  • Achieves Company standards in credit card solicitations.

Application Processing:

  • Facilitates processing customers’ charge applications quickly and accurately through the credit terminal. Ensures that all applicants provide the correct identification. Keeps all customer information confidential.
  • Ensures that a system is set up to process all applications immediately after solicitation.
  • Ensures new accounts are activated in a timely manner.

Customer Service:

  • Smiles and says “hi.” Acknowledges all customers throughout the store whenever eye contact is made. Assists customers with questions regarding merchandise and the store.
  • Ensures both the credit area and store’s main entrance are neat and organized. Contacts a manager to address maintenance issues as needed.
  • Maintains supplies at credit station and communications need for additional supplies in a timely manner.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned. Examples include, but are not limited to, assisting on the sales floor; greeting customers at assigned stations; assisting with recovery in departments; and assisting in housekeeping duties; assisting in stock room organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in retail, customer service or other work environment involving contact with the public.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis. Greater than 50 pounds = 1 Associate per 50 pounds.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of his/her working time standing or moving about register areas and around the store. Physical activities include holding a scanning gun, keying and processing register transactions; lifting and bagging merchandise; bending, stooping and reaching on a frequent basis.
  • Adherence to Company policy and procedures is required.
  • Regular attendance is required.
