Seeking a Operation/Construction Manager for large FENCING contractor to manage construction projects in Southern California. The CM is the day-to-day lead for all field projects, responsible for proactively overseeing all activities of the projects. FENCING background is necessary. Duties: Daily personal interactions with field employee, General Contractors, project managers, field superintendents, and authorities having jurisdiction on the project. Be responsible for the projects' success and for facilitating the resolution of all project issues in a fair, firm and timely manner. Assure project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget and schedule. Coordinate, schedule and manage all company field crews on a daily basis. Coordinate, schedule and manage all shop fabrication on a daily basis. Observe, monitor and document the work of the company employees according to established procedures, this includes management of project correspondence (incoming and outgoing), including but not limited to oral and written communications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc. Qualifications: Position requires ability to work as a team member with limited supervision. Must be a self-starter, able to take the initiative to achieve project objectives and work in the office or a construction site with limited amenities. Must cultivate a positive relationship with corporate staff and uphold company's core values. Skills: In addition must meet the following requirements: This position requires a minimum 5 years of construction fencing management or project management experience. Must have the knowledge and ability to work with contract reference documents (plans & specs) and other technical resources, as necessary. Must have the knowledge of fencing construction and fabrication methods. Must be familiar with materials, means, methods, tools and contractual obligations involved in fencing both in the public & private sector. Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to timely communicate project issues to the various project participants. Must have strong knowledge of fencing & gate fabrication, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Must be able to develop and monitor specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish the work. Must have the ability to work under conditions that allow for changing priorities and be able to multi-task. Professional education helpful. Bilingual English/Spanish very helpful. Valid Driver's License.
