Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Transports patients to and from various locations safely and in a professional, courteous and timely manner. Maintains transportation equipment according to department standards for cleanliness and proper functioning.
Edu:
High school diploma or GED or equivalent required in order to read and follow written and/or verbal instructions when following work assignments.
Exper:
Previous patient transport experience preferred.
Lic/Cert:
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Skill:
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact in an effective manner with patients/families and to collaborate with unit teams and various levels of hospital personnel.
Skill:
Ability to walk and stand for up to 100% of work time. In accordance with established body mechanics/safety procedures, ability to push, pull (200lbs), bend and lift to position and transfer patients.
