Massage Therapist-Marin Greenbrae-Per Diem - Full-time / Part-time

The IHH Integrative Massage & Bodywork Therapist provides bodywork assessment, treatment, referral and education in the out-patient clinical setting. The position may also provide chair massage to Sutter employees and the Community as a part of the wellness program and community outreach. In addition, the position may provide specialized massage care to specific patient populations within other care centers or inpatient units, such as oncology massage in the medical oncology practices or care within the hospital environment. The position refers to IHH physicians and complementary practitioners as appropriate and assists in the coordination of care with the team as needed. The position attends to patients in a highly-individualized manner, and uses the EHR to document pertinent information. Education: California State CMT certification required. Completion of the IHH Massage and Bodywork Integrative Medicine Education Program and/or participation in the IHHS volunteer program for cancer patients preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Knowledge and Experience: In addition to Swedish massage and oncology massage, also strongly prefer training in three or more of the following areas: CranioSacral Therapy, Deep Tissue/Sports Massage, Pre-natal Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Acupressure, Ayurvedic massage techniques, Orthopedic massage techniques, Reflexology, Jin Shin Jyutsu, and Reiki. Must be able to work as a member of a dynamic integrative medicine team toward the highest quality service and patient outcomes. Prefer five years of massage experience or other relevant healing modality.

Skills: Incumbent must possess excellent clinical skills, as well as strong organizational, oral and written communication skills. Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to assure participation in team approach to patient care. Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of culturally competent care also required. Proficient computer skills mandatory.
