Description
The Electrical Design Engineer Co-op (EE) will deliver designs for dry-type transformers in accordance with electrical and mechanical requirements specified by customers and/or industry standards. The EE will apply state-of-the-art design methods, calculations and prudent engineering practices in order to efficiently translate and deliver designs to Manufacturing. This EE will proactively engage other engineering disciplines to establish product concepts, perform design verifications, carry concepts through final design and rapidly respond to customer needs. Assignments require initiative and the ability to process large amounts of technical and administrative information quickly.
Typical duties/responsibilities: Under general guidance of the team manager and other experienced engineers, accepted candidates will perform various engineering duties required to manage multiple concurrent assignments, production schedules and meet established deliverables (internal and external). The ideal candidate will be able to work independently but must be a team player that can contribute toward improving design practices, product line growth and the overall success of the business unit.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is an 3 month+ contract position.
