Sodexo is seeking a high energy Resident Dining Manager at Transylvania University , located in Lexington, KY .
The Food Service Manager /Resident Dining Manager will be a key player in managing thru a major renovation scheduled for summer, 2016. The upgrade includes cutting edge designs and state of the art equipment. This 700 boarder account has 4 managers, GM, Catering/Retail, Executive Chef and Resident Dining.
Long term account- 40 years with a new 10 year extension signed in spring, 2015.
The Resident Dining Manager will report directly to the General Manager and possess stellar communication skills, a genuine passion for service and a focus on leadership to meet and exceed resident satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include:
FOH operations and oversight for all resident dining Special projects as assigned by the General Manager; making decisions and/or acting as Head of Unit while General Manager is out of Unit Managing front-line staff of 15 employees including: proven experience: interviewing, hiring, scheduling and processing payroll Menu development Working knowledge of HACCP Food budget/cost controls Catering
Requirements for this position include previous management experience preferably in campus services and proven experience meeting and exceeding customer service goals.

Position Summary
Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
