Intake Specialist / Home Health Office Assistant

The Team Member is high school graduate with at least one year of previous home health, medical office, or retail pharmacy experience.

Duties
* Proofread medical documents and perform perpetual chart assembly and audit
* Data Entry/ typing (35wpm) - Ability to learn Axxess Medical Software
* Communicate with doctor's office via phone & fax
* Filing / shared responsibility of answering the phone
* Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
* Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions).

* Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).

Required Qualifications

Experience: (Minimum experience the job requires.)
* 0-6 months experience in general retail pharmacy / home health / medical industry
* Demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain an effective working relationship with management and co-workers.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Background: (Level of knowledge required to perform the job effectively.)
* Some knowledge of home health industry
* Some knowledge of medications and common elderly health issues

Education: (Minimum formal education the job requires.)
* High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
* Some college preferred
