Professional Health Care Attendant - Full-time

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for dynamic individuals who would like to make a difference in the lives of others, especially the lives of seniors. If you meet the following position specific requirements we want to meet you!

We are seeking PROFESSIONAL HEALTH CARE ATTENDANTS, $12 per hour!

Candidates for this position will meet the following criteria:

• Supply a minimum availability of 8-12 hours per day, 5 days a week; candidates with Saturday and Sunday availability will take priority.
• Commit to availability ongoing.  Any changes will lead to a reduction in title and hourly pay rate.
• Have a valid Driver’s License and Car with valid Auto Insurance and be willing to drive a client or run errands (mileage reimbursement applies).
• Able and willing to provide personal care (toileting, incontinent care, bathing, etc.).
• Able to make a professional impression and support the Home Instead Senior Care brand image.
• Must have email and phone access to ensure timely correspondence with the office staff.
• Have a current Tuberculosis test on file.
• Able and willing to go to ANY assignment assigned by the Staffing Department within the Company’s territory regardless of the number of hours or location of assignment. We service clients in North Chicago, Northshore Suburbs including Skokie, Evanston, Wilmette, Northbrook, and Northwestern Suburbs including Des Plaines, Park Ridge.
• Ability to arrive at assignments at required time with minimal notice.
• No more than 6 unpaid days off in a 12 month period and provide 2 months’ notice for time needed off.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screening
• Ability to pass criminal background check including Illinois Department of Public Health fingerprint check
• Provide a minimum of three personal references and three employment references 
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English and be eligible to work in U.S. 
   

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Work requires adherence to procedures and standards involving a high degree of competency
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs
• Moderate to heavy activity including lifting, stooping, walking
• Ability to work and provide care to a client in an individual home, apartment, nursing home, assisted living, or hospital

This position will pay $12.00 per hour for Hourly assignments, we offer 24/7 on call support, paid training, a supportive staff, time and a half for special holidays worked, 401k, direct deposit, opportunity to earn overtime pay, and a professional work environment.
