Education Development Manager

Do you have a passion for consultative sales and building long-term strategic partnerships with customers? As the Education Development Manager (EDM), you will be responsible for sales of most PepsiCo brands within the K-12 education channel (Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Quaker and Tropicana). This is a high-profile sales position based out of the San Antonio, Texas area.

Key Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

Effectively manage 100+ school districts & a $8MM - $10MM territory in South/Central Texas

Exceed sales plan by developing strategic growth strategies for school districts

Partner with PepsiCo Market Development Managers to design growth strategies for foodservice distributors specializing in the education channel. Coordinate alignment with all levels of sales and management at those distributors.

Develop account coverage plans to prioritize the flawless execution of key initiatives

Manage the K-12 school bid process to profitably grow market share and ensure PepsiCo items are specified products on the bids

Strategically create opportunity in a budget-constrained environment utilizing consultative selling skills

Analyze data to identify opportunities and influence customers through the presentation of comprehensive business reviews

Possess a knowledge and understanding of federal & state nutrition regulations in order to communicate the features and benefits of PepsiCo products

Promote on-the-tray participation and provide menu ideas to increase average daily participation at the top districts

Work with production facilities and foodservice distributors to accurately forecast changes in sales

Coordinate and participate in any relevant state or school distributor trade shows

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience and 2+ years of outside sales experience required

Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Foodservice, Dietetics or Education sales preferred

Demonstrated professionalism and dependability

Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills

Ability and desire to work independently in the absence of direct supervision

Proven experience in consistently meeting tight deadlines

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Demonstrated experience in analyzing and solving complex business issues

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Some overnight travel required

Computer skills required: Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
