Currently, Experis is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a large manufacturing company in the Sheboygan area.

Job Description
Support the company's continued domestic and international growth by providing Project Management services for the site selection, design and construction of major new manufacturing office and hospitality facilities, facility expansions and facility renovations. Assure compliance with regulations, standards and customer defined project goals and objectives. Lead an engineering/design team through the development of a projects scope and construction activities. Manage the implementation, cost, schedule and quality of the facility design and construction. Directly responsible for the implementation, cost, schedule and quality results of projects of high complexity and cost.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Participate in and contribute towards defining a projects scope and content.
  2. Utilize the procedures and templates of the companies Project Management Process to control construction projects from concept to commissioning.
  3. Develop project budgets, schedules, quality standards and identify project support and documentation requirements.
  4. Communicate the project to supporting departments and direct their activities to provide expertise as required by project scope and content.
  5. Lead an engineering/design team of 4-8 people in the development of project documentation to include specifications and design documents to support project content, goals and objectives.
  6. Implement the design and construction phase of the project through preparation of bid documents, performing contractor qualification and selection, and contracting for required design and construction services and equipment purchases.
  7. Manage the implementation phase of the project through monitoring and controlling the design and construction activities and their impact on project budget and schedule while ensuring compliance with construction documentation and obtaining required approvals.
  8. Provide construction and contract administration by managing contractors work sequence, schedule, safety, payment applications, design and construction quality and taking corrective action as required, culminating with final acceptance of the completed work.
  9. Administer the close of contracts issued and ensure delivery of all necessary documentation to the business group responsible for operations of the facility.
  10. Prepare detailed and summary project reports for management presentation.
  11. Travel domestically and/or internationally up to 30% average per year. Short-term peak travel periods could be up to 60%.
