Providence is calling a full time, night shift Telemetry Charge Nurse (Nurse Leader) to Providence Little Company of Mary - Torrance Medical Center in Torrance, CA.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for the daily workflow of the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Assistant Nurse Managers. The scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care.
Determine unit priorities for the shift with regard to patient care, patient flow (bed control), staffing and distribution of resources.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
At least 1 year of recent clinical experience in specialty area
Excellent communication and listening skills
Ability to adapt to change quickly and make effective decisions
Promote teamwork and strong morale within the unit and Ministry
Effective leadership ability to provide high quality care and services
Good follow through
Clinical resource to caregivers (staff)
Ability to assist with holding caregivers (staff) accountable
Conflict resolution communication skills
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all disciplines including but not limited to Administrative representatives, House Supervisors, Directors, Managers, Assistant Managers; supportive of Ministry goals
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Specialty Certification
