About this job

Essential Functions:

Manage and communicate overall productivity of the employees on respective shift:

Moves per hour

Case pick rates

Rotation of duties

Maintain accountability of employee schedules, shift coverage and correct work hours within Kronos.

Must have a complete understanding and working knowledge of the Warehouse Management System.

Sanitation responsibilities for the warehouse:

Sanitation schedule,, AIB readiness\

Reconciliation of finished product (both produced and non-produced) on shift.

Ensure all certificates of destruction are completed.

KPI tracking for safety, quality, and cost for shift and department.

Completion of assigned TPM roles and activities.

Facilitate troubleshooting activities for issues on respective shift.

Understand and have the ability to properly operate all warehouse equipment - lift trucks, battery changer, floor scrubbers, dock levelers and dock locks.

Support other shifts as needed to support a 7 day work schedule.

Troubleshoot work activities through technical knowledge of WMS system (e.g. location status, cycle count and lost product reconciliation, item maintenance).

Support inventory control, lot management, equipment utilization, and scheduling activities.

Support new materials and product testing on the shift.

Ensure SOPs are current and are being followed for activities on respective shift - WMS, sanitation, load/unload procedures and QA guidelines.

Work with the maintenance team to track and prioritize maintenance work items.

Maintain cross-functionality of crew through proper rotation and training (e.g. line receiving, load/unload, damage processing, loose case picking).

Manage workload by coordinating all loads and unloads in order to meet shipping schedule.

Safety Responsibilities:

Accident investigation for accidents and near misses on the shift (include 7 step process as needed).

BOS inspections and tracking for assigned shift

Provide and document required safety programs for the department.

Lead daily stretching, and perform weekly safety meeting with the shift team

Participate in the safety steering committee.

Ensure employees have been trained and monitor proper PPE for the job.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

Understand QA manual decision rules as it relates to production and quality hold activities.

Complete master sanitation requirements for the warehouse.

Ensure held product is controlled and accounted for.

Exceed AIB, food safety requirements for the Distribution Center.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and or equivalent 2-3 years of experience leading and developing others

Ability to create a safe working environment, ensuring that all members are knowledgeable of good safety practices and procedures

Demonstrated people and leadership skills with a record of achieving positive business results

Ability to give/receive constructive feedback

Working knowledge of TPM or other process improvement initiatives

Project management skills

Effective communications, coaching, facilitation, presentation and team building skills

Excellent computer skills using Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Ability to work in a fast paced, high intensity environment.

Ability to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime

Must be willing and able to travel 5-10% of the time
