Performs basic cleaning functions in all areas of the facility providing a sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Cleans floors, sweeps, wet mops, vacuums and spot cleans carpet.

Collects and disposes of trash. Cleans trash carts, containers and collection areas.

Washes walls and windows.

Maintains equipment in a neat and sanitary manner. Reports needed major repairs to supervisors.

Sanitizes wet areas in locker rooms, toilet rooms and showers.

Polishes metal fixtures.

Cleans office areas, patient rooms and service areas.

Sets up furniture for meetings (chairs, table, AV equipment).

Reports needed major repairs and all other issues to director..

Maintains constant safety surveillance to ensure safety of self and others.

Carries out assigned duties in event of fire or other emergencies.

Meets Health System attendance standards. Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Education: Ability to read and write with capability of following oral and written instructions. Able to communicate effectively with patients, guests, and all hospital personnel.

Licensure: NONE

Experience: Previous cleaning experience in an institutional setting is preferred.
