About this job
Responsible for transporting patients to and from the point of service, including admissions, discharges, ancillary and other services areas and performing varied patient handling duties. Is competent to care for neonatal/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as needed for transportation. Other duties as directed.
Education Requirements
* High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Requirements
* Customer Service Skills preferred.
Minimum Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification required.
Physical Requirements
* *Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Constantly (67 - 100%): Standing and Walking
* Frequently (34-66%): Bending/Stooping, Climbing Stairs, Computer Usage, Kneeling/Squatting, Reaching and Twisting
