OVERVIEW:
Working as a Full-Time General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the store business. Support responsibilities may include purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing and inventory management as needed to assure success of the business. This position is for our store located at 404 Park Ave East, Brandon, MB R7A 7A8.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach/exceed business goals
o Demonstrating excellence in business to business selling on a daily basis
o Effectively communicating business statistics & progress toward goals to motivate the performance of others
o Modeling and promoting career opportunities to personnel
o Developing and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals
o Demonstrating the ability to lead others
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o A valid driver's license and the ability to meet our driving record requirements
o An Associate's Degree in Business/Marketing OR equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market
o Strong computer skills and math aptitude
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
o Strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills
o Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
o Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
o Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o At least one year of Fastenal or related sales experience
o Previous managerial experience and product knowledge
