Essential Functions:
- Manage day-to-day operations (receiving, processing, backstock, PCO, shipping) Create and manage plans to ensure business is supported and improved (staffing, productivity, accuracy, etc.) Communicate and motivate employees and ensure a union-free workplace is maintained Manage “expedited/hot” shipments and communicate with merchants as appropriate. Work with Industrial Engineering and Vendor Relations groups on projects to improve methods / utilization / productivity and merchandise velocity Create and manage weekly payroll forecast. Also, create and manage annual Distribution Center budget Communicate and partner with Store Operations, Merchants, and the other Supply Chain groups to support the business as appropriate Contribute to the strategic planning process of Distribution / Transportation Create Staffing / Hiring Plan by FT / PT and shift and function. Day-to-Day Staffing decisions Plan for and react to Union drives
Successful Candidate Requirements:
Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of Retail Distribution (flow and warehousing) Understanding of WMS Systems in order to maximize potential Strategic and Tactical Planning Skills Leadership, Motivational and Employee Relations Skills Ability to handle wide scope of responsibility (Operations, HR, Financial, Labor Relations, Customer Service, etc.)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Four (4) Managers Thirteen (13) Supervisors One hundred ninety (190) Hourly Associates
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience:
- 10-15 years of related experience
