Construction Project Accountant

Our client, a construction company located in Portland, OR, is seeking a Construction Project Accountant to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Preparation and submittal of "Company" monthly project pay applications and various accompanying reports as required.
-Collection and review of subcontractor progress billings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
-Coding and entry of General Conditions invoices.
-Collection and review of the required compliance documentation for subcontractors (includes licensing, insurance, W-9's, lien releases, certified payrolls, supplier releases, etc.)
-Administer, collect, and audit project certified payroll reports corresponding with sub tier contractors and program administrators.
-Understand terms in "Company" contracts and Subcontractor contract and apply to project pay application.
-Work with Project Managers to ensure funding is received timely in order to pay subcontractors.
-Review and approve payables weekly for payment.
-Communicate with project personnel and external vendors for Pavilion Construction project related questions and requests.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years' experience in construction accounting
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with Viewpoint Construction Management Software or similar platform
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and provide recommendations
Strong communication skills
