A magazine publisher in Laguna Hills is seeking is seeking to fill a full-time position that will be able to support the marketing team in multiple copywriting projects. The ideal candidate will be a fluid and imaginative writer who pays close attention to detail. If you are looking for an exciting growth opportunity in a creative field, we encourage you to apply. This is a temp-to-hire position and the starting pay is $16/hour.
Responsibilities Include:
- Writing and editing copy for website, e-newsletters, flyers, and more
- Providing copy and coordinating promotions for various social media platforms, including, but not limited to Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube
- Communicating with published artists, bloggers, customers, and industry professionals to promptly respond to inquiries
- Contacting press and media outlets to promote the company and set up interviews, submit articles, etc.
- Tracking the success of marketing campaigns and proposing new ideas to boost performance
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with social media platforms, a plus
- Strong proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to connect with and inspire a creative audience through thoughtful, well-crafted copy
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals
- Excellent command of the English language and extensive knowledge of guidelines for proper grammar
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Independent, self-starter with a strong ability to multi-task
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
- Associate's Degree would also be considered
