A successful IT Manager will have the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate well with various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Consensus building and management skills across matrix teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills; project management experience is a plus; excellent analytical ability, including technical proficiency in IT systems.
  • Strong leadership / customer service experience with multiple business units while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

This position is an excellent opportunity to manage a highly skilled team that has cross functional responsibilities and support our business partners in Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Sales. Each of these business units rely heavily on IT for our expertise and to analyze, provide technical solutions and problem solving skills to their everyday challenges as well as their new and existing project needs. As part of Field IT Operations based in El Paso, TX, the IT Manager will have the responsibility to manage the team that supports a Direct Sales and Customer Service Call Center, and also a Manufacturing facility at this location. IT Operations at this site will support the end user for all hardware and software needs, and also assists in supporting the Corporate Infrastructure which includes Servers, Data Networking switches, and other associated gear. This position will also be responsible for maintaining SLA’s with customers as well as building strong ongoing relations with our business partners. 

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:  

 

  • Manages, leads, and delegates responsibilities to a team of technicians; accountable for day to day team-member productivity and long-term professional growth and development.
  • Responsible for all aspects of managing our IT team, including: but not limited to, schedules, mid years and annual performance appraisals. As well as, managing the intake and evaluation of projects from our business partners.
  • Customer Service focused, methodical troubleshooting, clear communications, and attention to detail.
  • Responsible for all information technology functions of any necessary upgrades, implementation or maintenance support of hardware and/or software to include the creation and maintenance of support documentation.
  • Stay abreast of changes to business rules, workflows, and tools that affect customers or agents.
