Marla Junes Clothing Company opened our first women's clothing boutique in 2005. Today we have two stores in Pendleton, Oregon, a store in Kennewick, Washington and now opening a store in Boise, Idaho.

We carry a full line of clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, Brighton and accessories (belts, scarves, etc.). The stores carries brand name products known for their fashion and quality. The stores designs are contemporary and support the fact Marla June's is an upscale urban boutique.

We want people who care about fashion and care about our customer. We want to be personal shoppers for our customers, share our knowledge about each product's use and options, and give the customer choices that meet their needs. The customer must have a shopping experience at Marla June's that it is a "Fun Place to Shop", and work!

The Store Manager position is a full time salary position eligible for a benefits package.

The Store Manager is the key Leader for the local management and sales team. The Store Manager provides direction and strategies for sales, staff, customer service and inventory merchandising and management in the store. The Manager is the role model representing the Marla June's brand and ensuring store policies, procedures and programs are executed.

There are four key principles to be implemented in all decisions and actions of the manager at the store each day.

Provide the customer with a personalized shopper experience by knowing and understanding the customer, communicating product knowledge to the customer, and giving the customer selections for fashion that meets their needs and desires;
Create a fun shopping experience for the customer;
Create a fun place for the sales team to work;
Always be ethical and honest and do what is in the best interest of the customer, staff and Marla June's.

Key job duties include:
Manage and motivate the sales team to achieve customer service expectations, sales goals and standards of Marla Junes.
Promote customer service by ensuring associates have been trained on the customer service philosophy of Marla Junes; engaging customers each day; respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Analyze daily, weekly and monthly sales figures of actuals vs. budget,Merchandise apparel and accessories.
Maintain awareness of fashion trends in the market area. .
Manage accurate and timely input of all inventory into the POS system assuring accurate inventory items and quantities.
Maintain a full sales staff to provide consistent coverage of days and hours the store is scheduled to be open.
Provide sales and orientation training to all new staff including basic operations activities for sales through the POS.
Coach and counsel staff as required to acknowledge and communicate the level of performance by the person in key areas of customer service and sales goals.
Establish daily and weekly schedules for sales staff, posting schedules and coordinating an approving any schedule changes.
Conduct staff meetings to provide communication and information to sales staff.
Provide on-going customer service and sales training and development of the staff.
Identify and resolve safety and security issues.
Organize and execute store sales, promotions and marketing for the store.
Promote and schedule monthly private party events with local customers and community groups.
Talk with customers and sales staff identifying suggestions, ideas to improve and better the store fashions, layout or service provided.
Be a local ambassador for Marla Junes in the community and business organizations.
Ensure store's physical appearance is maintained in an excellent condition each day.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Job Requirements: Minimum of 4 to 5 years of prior retail or sales management with progressive management experience preferred. Education degrees in fashion and retail sales and management can be applied towards experience requirements. Minimum of high school degree or equivalent required.
Must have a knowledge of fashion and a desire to engage customers to communicate and provide information about fashion to customers to meet their needs and desires.
Excellent communication skills required for effective interaction with customers and staff and resolve any customer complaint or staff issue in a timely manner to maintain a positive environment.
Ability to lead, make decisions, execute plans and adapt to change.
Must be able to build a sales team that stays focused on customer satisfaction and service and who will work together to achieve the common goals for the store.

Salary & Benefits:
The Store Manager position is a full time position. The salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications. The position is eligible for benefits.
