Responsibilities

Sales Results: Carries “paper quota” for 100% completion of all sales related tasks which are quantifiable, i.e. customer retention and self serve utilization. 

Customer Retention: Responds to requests for wireless and wireline online self service sales support; follow-up on customer service issues in regards to self serve portals; including but not limited to trouble ticket reporting and portal customization requests; problem solving and follow-up on customer support issues related to PO funding, Basic to Smartphone upgrades, and Self Service; develops and coordinates customer training, education, and support for services such as phones, accessories and services as well as E-Business Verizon Enterprise Center (VEC) and MyBusiness; Identifies renewal opportunities within accounts and works with Federal Account Managers, Global Enterprise Advisor’s, and SPOCs to upgrade/renew eligible lines; Assists with customer on-site appointments and attends when required.

Order Processing: Assists Federal Account Managers and customers with utilizing wireless self serve portals for new line and upgrade order processing.

Account Maintenance: Promote the use of wireless and wireline self serve portals to complete maintenance and e-commerce transactions, i.e. repair transactions, quick status transaction, ESN changes, price plan changes, user information updates, and line suspends.

Training / Meetings:  Continuously update knowledge of wireless and wireline products, services and industry trends through online and F2F training opportunities as well as through news and media publications. Identify and lead customer self serve training opportunities; Attend sales meetings and assist with the quarterly business reviews presentation process for each assigned account. Conduct at least 4 account reviews (using PowerPoint) with direct Manager and Associate Director.

Utilize SalesForce.com to produce and track progress of account action plans and projects in partnership with federal sales teams.

Support Ad Hoc projects based on business needs: i.e. Assisting with quarterly business review presentation decks for the federal sales teams.

Federal Sales Organization Support:  Drive key business initiatives as determined by Federal Sales Leadership. Sales support may include but is not limited to: proactively ensure PO funding is available and maintained, Drive self-serve utilization, Drive Basic to Smartphone upgrades, campaign management, and Federal sales team assistance with above mentioned support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience in sales or customer service with federal business accounts
  • Understanding and knowledge of wireless and wireline industry and related products and services
  • Strong cold-calling and lead generation capabilities preferred
  • Familiarity with billing systems and point of sales systems
  • Thorough understanding of the E-Business Verizon Enterprise Center (VEC) and My Business platforms
  • Working knowledge of E-Business methods and procedures
  • Applicant must have an understanding of self serve functionality and trouble-shooting
  • Working knowledge of VZSFA and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong oral skills, and strong power point creation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word with special attention to PowerPoint
  • Effective negotiation and relationship building skills required
