MBM is Hiring a Lead Mechanic for our Ontario, CA Facility.
Full Time Pay Dependent on Experience with Excellent Benefits
Role and Responsibilities
As a Lead Mechanic you will use your supervisory and mechanical experience to instruct technicians to perform preventive maintenance, correct DVIR noted defects, prepare equipment for DOT BIT inspections, diagnosis of failures and correct repair practices based off company policies and procedures.
-Maintain terminal's fleet of trailers and in some cases tractors
-Date entry for parts inventory and tracking
-Perform daily/90 day/annual inspections, PM's, service, and repairs
-Monitor technician's productivity and efficiency, allocating the daily work orders
-Ensure Technician's following safety guidelines
-Must own mechanics tool set
-Utilize service information from different sources, Internet, Shop Manuals, Industry Bulletins, etc.
-Moves, operates, lifts, stores, and uses specialized equipment, including personal and company hand and power tools, shop machines, and other devices to perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, and maintenance work
-Ensures equipment is repaired promptly
-Keep accurate files, logs/repair orders on all equipment, service performed, technician files, DVIR, attendance and productivity
Qualifications and Education Requirements
3 years maintenance experience
Maintenance lead experience
Computer knowledge, able to create and track via Microsoft Excel or Word
