This position delivers Product Marketing Research and Competitive Intelligence across the organization by directing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research projects, transforming data into purposeful insights that are understandable, accurate, relevant and actionable.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct  all activities related to Product Marketing Research, including preparing, administering, analyzing and reporting market research and competitive intelligence
Conduct  primary and secondary research by managing the entire research process, defining the research scope and budget, selection of appropriate research methodologies, survey development, focus group scripting and interview guide development, management of research vendor relations, interpretation and analysis of data using standard statistical tools, as well as report development, communication and presentation of research findings to non-technical audiences
Manage research panels for multiple markets.
Utilize standard frameworks (e.g. Porter's Five Forces, SWOT, Market Maps) to create actionable research findings
Develop and maintain market research plan assuring delivery of research on time and within budget and recommend changes in the organization of the marketing intelligence group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives and provide the flexibility to move swiftly in relation to marketing research problems and opportunities
Develop and oversee the internal systems, templates, and tools to maximize the efficient delivery of market and competitive intelligence
Support strategy development, business planning and execution management activities
*The position will receive guidance from the Senior Director of Market Insights and work in close partnership with other Directors of Research & Competitive Intelligence.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

At least 5 years experience managing market research and competitive intelligence initiatives and leading  sizeable research efforts
A minimum 5 years experience at top healthcare or professional services firm
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in market research, marketing or business management
Demonstrable experience with primary and secondary research methodologies and statistical tools
Demonstrable experience in product development research process
Expertise in competitive intelligence
Must be able to demonstrate prior experience taking data and information from multiple sources, and then analyzing and delivering actionable implications and recommendations
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven experience making presentations to large groups and senior executives
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and market research tools
Ability to build partnerships and trust with individuals at all levels of the organization
Be a self-starter; work with a sense of urgency and be comfortable with ambiguity and constant change; approach work in an enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative manner
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA degree
