Medical Lab Technician (Float)

Performs all aspects of waived and complex testing. Applies knowledge of techniques, principles, quality control, theory and instrumentation as well as test interdependency and physiological conditions affecting test results, critical result limits, normal ranges and/or toxic therapeutic ranges to ensure accuracy. Will recognize, troubleshoot and initiate corrective action for problems in a timely manner. Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and performance verification.Performs a variety of laboratory tests and assays in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations in a designated technical department. Interprets results, subject to verification by Technologist/Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations.
