Job Title: Learning Development Specialist

Contract Length: 1 year + (possible extension)

Experis currently has a great opportunity with our client; a Leader in the Automotive Manufacturing industry. We are seeking a Learning Development Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the Vehicles Safety & Regulatory Compliance organization for our client.

  • The Specialist will lead efforts to develop training programs from a technical/computer based tools standpoint. This includes the building of participant guides, leader guides, job aids, PowerPoint presentations and web based training.
  • The web based training modules will be developed using Articulate Storyline / Adobe Captivate, and will include audio, video, participant interaction, testing, and full Learning Management System (LMS) integration.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Learning Design Specialist (who writes/defines the trainings) to determine the approach to course development and will partner as necessary on all aspects of the project to ensure success. Audiences for these learning courses can be: government, suppliers, dealers, and even other OEMs. Some examples of training program topics could be:

  • Recall Process, Safety Critical Vehicle Components, Fuel Economy, BEV Credits, etc.

A priority will be placed upon a program on the automotive recall process. Training programs will be done through various mediums, from live conferences to web-based trainings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience - relevant experience in Training Development, Process Development, Process Documentation, System Development or Communications
  • Expert level ability with Microsoft Office Products including Word and PowerPoint
  • Expert level ability with computer based Authoring Tools including Articulate Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate Knowledge of SCORM standards
  • Experience with Learning Management System Administration
  • Proven Project Management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive industry
  • Experience with regulatory requirements, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), automotive recall processes
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
