Payment Recovery Specialist

Recovery Specialists:



*Organizes inpatient and outpatient claims for electronic or hardcopy mail and forwards to appropriate third party payers for payment processing
*Will be asked to call insurance companies to obtain claim denial information- a lot of phone work will be done and you will spend a lot of time on hold
* Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing through payment of the claim, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary
* Ensures appropriate insurance coverage for compliance standards and revenue generation.
*Responsible for multitasking and digging deeper while on the phone. Must be able to gather all of the information they need to fill out the information and provide it to the hospitals
