Mechanical Piping Designer - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Mechanical Piping Designer.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Experis is partnered with a world leading pulp products manufacturer who has an immediate need for an experienced Mechanical Piping Designer at their Charlotte, NC, operations. The Designer will design process piping and equipment layouts for paper plant and other industrial facilities.

DESCRIPTION:

You'll aid in the preparation of conceptual plans, details, sections, process and instrumentation (P&ID) diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping drawings and isometrics or schematics from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches. You will also coordinate CAD projects with Engineers and outside contractors and vendors to accurately convey construction or fabrication requirements and drawings. Adhering to our client's design standards, you will also perform self-reviews of completed work to find and correct obvious errors before issuing the product for review by others.

REQUIREMENTS

*Associates in Drafting or related experience specific to piping
*6-8 years industrial design experience;
*Proficient in AutoCAD r14; CadWorx experience a plus
*Experience developing piping drawings and equipment arrangements;
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
