Accounting & Finance - Accountant - Basic

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Accounting & Finance - Accountant - Basic.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Junior level accountant with less than 18 months of experience. Examines, analyzes and interprets accounting records to prepare statements and/or advise management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The controller team requires individuals based in Delaware to support the development of a risk controller function.

This role will initially include team work around the development and ownership in creating an end to end control environment which includes reconciliation, substantiation, controls around manual adjustments, and LOB attestation. After the end to end controls are built, the team will support ongoing controls.

The team will interact heavily across the firm within Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Finance and Business Management, Middle Office and Technology.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
• Ability to understand business drivers and requirements and influence partners to deliver solutions to business issues and problems
• Self-motivated and comfortable working with large amounts of data
• Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and bring tasks to closure
• Strong team player who can work well and build partnerships with colleagues of various levels, across multiple locations
