UnitedHealthcare Community & State, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of companies, is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Analyst to join our dynamic Compliance team.  The Sr. Compliance Analyst is an individual contributor role who will be assigned to work supporting multiple state plans within the eastern portion of the country. In addition to being responsible for monitoring changes with the state Medicaid contracts and/or laws & regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines, this individual will be responsible to help establish, mandate and implement standard policies, procedures and best practices across the region to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations. You will work in a matrixed work environment, as a member of the region's compliance staff, closely supporting individual Plan Compliance Officers and various business partners.  Ideal candidates will have compliance experience working with Medicaid health plans, will have strong project management experience and will have experience working in a matrixed environment.  Suitable office locations for this position are:

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct state-specific contractual or statutory research
Monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
Support the collection of data for regulatory filings
Monitor and/or coordinate internal or external regulatory audits
Create internal regulatory reporting and analyze and quality check external reports
Develop compliance communications and drive problem resolution for a business segment across United Health Group

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience of compliance or regulatory affairs experience, preferably working in a government, healthcare, or health insurance environment
3+ years of experience and understanding of HIPAA and state privacy laws
Experience developing and presenting training programs
Solid experience in managed care and government programs
Experience leading audits and major program initiatives
Experience developing relationships with regulatory agencies
Ability to identify root cause issues and ensure appropriate corrective action
Experience managing multiple projects/tasks; proven history of successful results in managing issues and driving strategic program initiatives
Objective, collaborative approach
Ability to adapt in a dynamic and high-growth environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
Intermediate or better skill level with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or JD degree
Medicaid and or Medicare experience
Professional certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC or similar)
