Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and managing reporting and analytic solutions and delivery, both in the planning and design of new solutions to support M&R Part D Analytics as well as day-to-day management, production support and monitoring, and accountability for those solutions
Ownership of multiple modeling datasets, tools, models, analyses and reports including, but not limited to: formulary, clinical, product, member, competitive and regional data, program deployment and effectiveness studies, goal setting, forecasting and predictive modeling
Lead the creation of Part D-related data warehouses/marts and develop ad hoc data mining analysis to support business decisions; manage cleansing, accuracy, and ongoing maintenance of data warehousing activities
Manage request intake and workload balancing for ad hoc and ongoing reporting and data extracts
Manage business and data analyst staff performance and career development
Collaborate with cross functional teams of pharmacists, PBM staff and actuarial team, including senior level leaders
Collaborate with and support Part D analytics leads on the strategic use of data for modeling and reporting
Be able to approach issues from broad/strategic perspective while also focusing on the details
Quickly grasp the complexities, interrelationships and conceptual themes among problems and issues
Direct the development of both automated and customized reports, data models and analysis
Monitor historical and current data trends in order to make recommendations and/or predictions
Conduct quality checks of data, often including statistical validations
Collaborate with and support Part D analytics leads on the strategic use of data for modeling and reporting
 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in statistics, math, economics, business, health care, computer science or other related degree required
5 or more years business data, modeling, and analytics experience required
3 or more years of SAS programming experience
Expert Microsoft Excel - graphing, reporting, data modeling, VBA, conditional formatting, formulas
Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills required
Experience providing reporting and analysis results to senior leaders
Able to communicate clearly (both verbal and written), and provide explanation for complex concepts and interpretation of results
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous CMS (center for Medicare/Medicaid service) Star Rating, Medicare, healthcare quality programs, or pay for performance experience preferred
Experience with production environments
Pharmacy Benefit Management industry experience
Ability to conduct statistical regression models and use results to inform predictive modeling
5 or more years of SAS programming experience
SAS Visual Analytics experience
SAS Enterprise Miner and Forecast Studio experience
