Cyber Security Engineer needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Vienna, Virginia.
Possession of or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required as a condition for employment.
Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

What You'll Be Doing:
- The Cyber Security Engineer will be an integral part of a competent team of engineers, transitioning as necessary between being an individual contributor of a larger team to working independently in a customer facing situation.
- Customers expect at that time, that you will be a subject matter expert of the specific security technologies related to their project leveraging internal expertise and resources as needed.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BS in computer science or technical discipline; Minimum of four (4) years of directly related experience; education may be substituted for work experience. Successful completion of specific tool training will be required immediately upon hire.
- Candidate should be comfortable navigating and working in a command line environment, and have demonstrated troubleshooting ability. Experience with security related tools (vulnerability scanners/IDS/SIM, etc.). A basic understanding of networking and protocols is also desired.
- Candidate must possess professional training or equivalent experience in one or more of the following types of disciplines: security operations/network operations; Structured Query Language (SQL) Specifically MySQL, Extensible Markup Language (XML), HyperText Markup Language (HTML), multiple operating systems (UNIX, Win32); and Web Application Servers (Apache/Tomcat); Other scripting languages such as (Perl, SH, Tkl, PHP). Candidates must have demonstrated skills in analytical problem solving and the ability to work independently and also with vendors and customers as needed.
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- The following certifications are desired: MCSE, CISSP, CEH, Security+, Oracle/MySQL or related.
- The following software experience is desired: (IT-GRC) Agiliance; VMware; Databases (Oracle, MySQL or Equivalent); MsDOS, Vulnerability Scanners, Vulnerability Threat Feeds, Host Based Security/Anti-Virus, Scripting Languages such as (Perl, SH, Tkl, PHP)
- Knowledge of DoD Assessment and Authorization/Risk Management and STIG processes is desired, but not required.
