Handy/Porter (Wildwood Crest)
We are seeking an experienced, hard working and motivated residential building Handy/Porter with maintenance experience to join our team in Wildwood Crest, NJ. The candidate must have a great attitude, be punctual and a team player.
Basic plumbing, electric, carpentry skills are required.
The available schedule for this FT position is: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm (30hrs/week during Oct. April, then 40hrs/ week) and the wage for this position is $12.00/hr.
***This position requires a satisfactory background check***
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Painting and plastering as required
- Replacing broken or torn Venetian blind cords and tapes and defective hardware where needed
- Removal and replacement of all blown light bulbs
- Replacing existing receptacles and sockets
- Installation, replacement and/or adjustment of door knobs and spindles
- Clearing local waste line and drain stoppages
- Performing emergency repairs outside of walls or drains
- Assist building management with other projects, as requested and required
- General cleaning of club house and common areas
- Dust and polish surfaces thoroughly including windowsills, baseboards, furniture, mirrors, partitions, tiles, and fixtures
- Spot clean walls and all common areas
- Thoroughly vacuum, sweep mop and otherwise clean floors, carpets, area rugs, and runners
- Empty ad sanitize all waste receptacles
- Fill all paper and soap dispensers from customer's stock and advise if orders are necessary
- Upon completion of work, all slop sinks are to be thoroughly cleaned. All cleaning equipment must be securely stored in an orderly and neat manner in the janitor's closet
- Assist with all other job duties as requested
