Qualifications:
- Kentucky Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing (at all times) or actively working to obtain certification
- Availability between 7pm – 7am on your agreed days. (Must be dressed and ready in sufficient time so that if called you can start a shift as early as 7 pm and stay as late as 7 am. This means you must be up and ready by 6:30 p.m. to allow for adequate travel time, ensuring you can arrive on a shift by 7 pm. – Assuming there are no unforeseen traffic delays which will be out of your control.)
- Client Demographics: Must be willing to work with male and female clients, someone with pets, someone that smokes, someone with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, etc.
- Shift flexibility a must. Plan for working 12-hour shifts, could work shorter shifts depending on client needs
- Prepared for Shift: Dress Code must be followed as well as having adequate food/snacks for working a possible 12-hour shift
- Ability to provide transportation for a CAREGiverSM in the field that needs help with transportation to a shift
- Communication is key! If you are unable to make it to work or leave work for some reason then you must speak directly to a representative from Home Instead to make them aware PRIOR to leaving the premises. Home Instead will either send someone to relieve you or will obtain permission for you to leave without relief.
