MPS Inc, a rapidly growing parts distribution company that has an opportunity to enter a high growth industry at a locally owned and operated company. This is a full time, 40 hour per week, position with regular working hours and possible overtime.
We are currently seeking warehouse staff. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working in a warehouse, possess a strong worth ethic, ability to work in a fast paced environment, and have a commitment to excellence.
ABILITIES:
* Must be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Have previous warehouse experience.
* Familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Ensures the accuracy of all shipping documents. Gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping activities.
*Ensures shipping counts match picking documents and assists in resolving any discrepancies.
*Collects all documentation for outbound freight and routes to the proper record keeping unit.
*Ensures proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping.
*Examines outgoing shipments to ensure that they meet specifications.
*Picks inventory for orders to be shipped from various location in the warehouse.
*Schedules inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations and capacities in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager.
*Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
*Ensures the accuracy of all receiving documents and gathers and matches forms (PO, packing slip, computer printout) relative to receiving activities.
*Ensures that the receiving counts match purchase orders and packing slip documents, and assists in resolving any discrepancies.
*Files all receiving paperwork in PO sequence.
*Identifies backorders and places merchandise in designated holding area for expedited handling.
*Receives UPS/Fedex/USPS orders and subdivides into separate product category for verification and stocking activities.
*Verifies (recounts) orders received by others to ensure accuracy of incoming merchandise.
*May place incoming merchandise into inventory.
*May assist in unloading trucks.
*May operate fork lift and truck.
*May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
