MAJOR FUNTION:

 

To open, close and/or run shifts on a part time or emergency basis. Primarily gaining experience for promotion to a full time management position. The following lists are general guidelines and are not meant to be all inclusive lists of tasks that may be performed in the line of duty.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Same as Shift Coordinator plus:

1)      At least 6 months experience in a Burger King unit or one year management experience.

2)      Can and will work any shift (reliably).

3)      District Manager approval prior to placement in position.

4)      Can open/close restaurant operationally and administratively.

5)      Has knowledge of POS and equipment functions.

6)      Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and the willingness to try new things and positively communicate these ideas to the crew.

7)      Willingly assumes the responsibility to communicate problems and areas that need improvement to the management team.

8)      Realizes the importance of rapidly praising good performance as well as correcting poor performance.

9)      Be Serv Safe and Foundations Shift Certified.

 

ACCOUNTIBILITY OBJECTIVES:

 

1)      Meets all accountability objectives of a Shift Coordinator.

2)      Capable of resolving guest complaints, product incidents, and emergencies satisfactorily.   

3)      Has knowledge of and enforces Labor Laws.

4)      Helps control, direct, and maintain the restaurant’s standards at all times.

5)      Knows basics of ordering, scheduling, deliveries, and invoicing.

6)      Has full responsibility for cash control during shifts.

7)      Assists in developing subordinates.

8)      Aids in maintaining equipment care and general restaurant maintenance.

9)      Follows and enforces all safety and security guidelines; assumes responsibility for safety of all customers and crew.

10)  Realizes the importance of the documentation of events and follows through by recording in detail those events.

11)  Knows, communicates, and enforces the proper food safety practices within the restaurant.
