MAJOR FUNCTION:

 

To operate a Burger King restaurant in a manner which ensures customer satisfaction, maximum profitability, sales, and compliance with strict Burger King operating standards. Their primary function is to develop all subordinates to assure progress and consistency in maximizing profits. The following lists are general guidelines and are not meant to be all inclusive lists of tasks that may be performed in the line of duty.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Has demonstrated superiority over and above his/her peers (Co- Manager) as well as being the best and most logical candidate when considering factors such as location, seniority, volume, personal aspirations and the needs of the company.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES:

 

1)      Has full responsibility for everything that happens on the restaurant site.

2)      The incumbent in this position supervises a subordinate staff of managers and is free to make all decisions (within established policies and guidelines) relative to the daily operations of a Burger King.

3)      Maintains staffing at the optimum level that assures efficient and effective operations.

4)      Aids the District Manager in the selection, development and termination of assistant managers in order to establish a stable crew capable of achieving sales and profit objectives.

5)      Implements merchandising and sales promotion activities at the restaurant level.

6)      Ultimately handles any complaints/problems from the crew or guests that are not appropriately dealt with at the subordinate level.

7)      Appraises performance of subordinates in a timely and effective manner that assures performance (or lack thereof) is appropriately rewarded.

8)      Participates in any community relations activities that generate goodwill and promotes the image of Burger King.

9)      Actively seeks community involvement to further develop the Burger King Brand.

10)  Actively implements plans to drive top line sales and increase profits.

11)  Has knowledge of P&L – knows how to control the controllables.

12)  Sets the store goals in conjunction with the District Manager’s goals and objectives.

13)  Meets with the whole management team on a regular basis as necessary to assure proper communication and team involvement.

14)  Works during at least two opens and two closes (on average) a month.

15)  Gives crew performance reviews at 30 and 90 days and annually.  Approves any merit increases.  Sets goals and thereby follows up to increase subordinate performance.

16)  Assures follow up and corrections are made immediately following audits.
