POSITION SUMMARY

The Outbound Member Service Rep welcomes new members to the plan via telephone. Were looking for people who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and would like to be part of our member services team that supports the needs and care of our members.

Fundamental Components:

o Delivers orientation calls to new members

o Screens patients using targeted intervention business rules and processes to identify needed medical services, make appropriate referrals to medical services staff and coordinate the required services in accordance with the benefit plan.

o Provides support services to team members by answering telephone calls, researching information and assisting in solving problems

o Takes responsibility for completing assignments and bringing all outstanding issues to closure.

o Responsible for production and quality standards

Candidates must also have the ability to resolve problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions and escalating unresolved problems. Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently. Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards. Attention to detail and accuracy.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Minimum of one year customer service experience. Bi-lingual preferred. Demonstrated competencies, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Computer and keyboard navigation skills. Strong listening and interpersonal skills; skilled at developing and maintaining effective working relationships

Understanding of medical terminology

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.
