About this job

Duties:
Records and maintains controls of all inbound shipments received by the Receiving department
Plans work flow and the completion of work assignments through constant communication with Receiving and Procurement.
Gathers BOL (bill of ladings) from drivers upon check-in and sign drivers out when they drop trailers
Directs drivers to assigned dock doors for unloading of all raw, condiments and cartons; as well as coordinates with yard man as trucks are needed
Helps manage all drop trailers and updates magnetic board daily
Assists in transferring POs of inbound freight & Versa Cold loads delivering to Versa Cold and Jackson location to insure a true inventory at Versa Cold
Downloads all temp tale inspection recorders
Keeps a record of all received goods, audits and files all inbound paid paperwork to verify that trailer inspection sheets, condiment check list are completed per load
Files daily Forklift VIC s, rack damage logs and reports condition problems to the Warehouse Supervisor
Updates and files Warehouse attendance sheets daily
Inspects the received goods, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately reporting to Procurement
Proposes suggestions to the Supervisor with regard to the documentation of goods
Records minutes generated weekly at warehouses staff meetings / tailgate meetings log paperwork as directed when scheduled
Investigates major discrepancies in e-mails sent from Irwindale / pulls any PODs to verify any receiving errors
Skills and Specifications
Computer Skills (Excel, Outlook, & JD Edwards)
Ability to determine and advise management areas of improvement
Ability to effectively present and communicate information and give feedback to numerous departments (both written and oral)
Must be able to work flexible work schedule to include weekends
Works under low supervision
Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices
Helps perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor
Keeps the work area clean and organized
Must Be Forklift Certified
