About this job

This position will serve as CDL Driver, Warehouse Helper and Office Administrator, as needed.


HOURS: Monday - Friday, 3:30am - 11:30am


The local driver maintains a clean, well-equipped vehicle; operates the vehicle safely and economically; interfaces with the customer and third party representatives; and directs the moving crew in efficient, safe and damage-free relocation of goods. May also perform packer, mover and helper tasks. To operate assigned vehicles and equipment; to provide superior customer service; to ensure damage-free relocation of goods; and to assure the efficiency and safety of the moving crew while on the job site.



Responsibilities:

CDL Class A Driver:

Performs a pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle each day. Reports any unsafe, broken or worn parts on the vehicle to the local manager immediately.
Ensures that the assigned vehicle is clean, well-organized and loaded with all necessary supplies and equipment before each job begins, and that it is returned in the same condition at the end of each job.
Drives the assigned vehicle, observing all traffic rules, Allied standards and DFW&M practices for the safe, efficient and economical operation of the vehicle.
Interfaces in a positive, professional manner with the customer, building manager, security officer, packers, warehouse and office personnel, and third party service representatives during the course of the job.
Directs the activities of the moving crew to ensure efficient, safe and damage-free relocation of goods.
Documents the condition of goods before loading and discusses any existing damage with the customer before loading begins.
Protects, loads and unloads goods with the assistance of the moving crew. Ensures the customer's home is adequately protected to prevent damage.
Accurately completes all paperwork related to the job and ensures the customer completes all necessary sections of the paperwork.



Warehouse Help / Office duties as needed

Assist Warehouse Supervisor
Keep track of daily inbounds by doing a daily inbound piece count.
Report any damaged appliances or overages/shortages to appliance manufacturer.
Scan in returns, will call, and cancelled tickets at the end of each day.
Print out Ins Receipts daily.
Perform condition change on Ins Receipts as needed.
Update local stock information in CICS daily via LCLI screen.
Build/stage AS-IS Loads.
Create weekly backhauls for appliance manufacturers.
Stage Scrap Appliances awaiting RM approval.
Managing parts cage.
Label product when received into warehouse.
Monitor all product received for damage on cartons.
Pull routes for next day's routes in reverse order.
Prepare parts boxes.
Check-in Independent Contractor's previous day's routes and delivery tickets, along with Inventory Log.
Dispose of scrap product
Cut down and dispose of properly all trash from warehouse and previous day's deliveries.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
