Anthropologie is growing and opening new lifestyle stores in the bay area and we are ready to meet you! Currently we are looking for high-level talent to oversee our first location in Stanford Shopping Center Palo Alto, California. Anthropologie has long been known for providing an "unmatched" transportive environment for discovery and inspiration; lifestyle stores will embody this spirit while reimagining the retail experience.

Stores Accessories Shop Manager
Objective: The Accessories Shop Manager partners with Accessories Visual Manager to lead a profitable and customer-centric environment through the successful development of a team. Responsible for managing all aspects of shop including; hiring and developing talent, maintaining consistent store controls, and applying merchant skills to create a compelling customer experience. Shop Managers oversee, lead and develop the Department Manager levels.
Experience
Three + years of retail store management experience or equivalent.
An understanding of the Anthropologie culture and its appeal to the local market
Ability to drive sales through excellent service, strong visual presentation, and a full understanding of the business
Strong record of developing talented individuals at the management level and above
Customer Connection
Cultivates an environment of genuine customer connection
Demonstrates extraordinary service, leading by example on the sales floor
Acts as a brand ambassador reflective of the company values and aesthetic
Understands multi-channel business - implements processes and utilizes tools to better service the customer
Engages with local community via events and social media platforms
Leadership
Builds and maintains productive partnerships
Communicates company, region and store goals consistently and effectively
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
Possesses strong assessment and decision-making skills
Maintains a productive relationship with home office partners
Aesthetic Understanding and Application
Has a strong understanding of trend and style that is reflective of the brand
Contributes to presentation processes and upholds presentation standards
Supports product placement and outfitting that is reflective of trend, reinforces brand messaging, and inspires the customer
Collaborates in the sharing of inspiration and idea generation
Connects brand aesthetic with store Social Media platforms
People and Development
Recruits, hires, and retains top talent to build bench for the shop and store
Recognize and develops talented individuals for advancement and growth
Promotes an environment of self-awareness and self- development
Promotes an environment of collaboration, inspiration and teaching
Ensures that coaching and counseling is consistent and timely
Creates a culture of action and accountability
Facilitates meetings and workshops that are well-planned, collaborative, educational and motivational
Administers performance appraisals, sets goals and conducts consistent touch-bases with direct reports
Expert on vendor, product knowledge, and trend as it relates to the Shop
