Responsibilities* To assist with activities related to the Michigan Anticoagulation Quality Improvement Initiative (MAQI 2 ), a state-wide quality improvement collaborative funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Registry, and other activities related to anticoagulation. The Michigan Clinical Outcomes Research and Reporting Program (M-CORRP) is the coordinating center for these activities.

Participate in MAQI 2 data entry

Review medical records to abstract data and enter data into MAQI 2 registry

Supervise summer interns and other students with data abstraction and entry including: training new students, performing chart audits to ensure data accuracy, making student assignments, and monitoring data entry progress.

Provide regular data entry reports to the MAQI 2 team.

Assist with abstracts, posters, presentations, and publications for MAQI2, FMD, and other activities related to anticoagulation for MCORRP faculty and staff

Assist with coordination of the MAQI 2 Writing Committee including: scheduling Writing Committee meetings, keeping track of dates of scientific meetings and due dates for abstract submission, and maintaining documents to track publications and potential topics for future publications.

Coordinate abstract submissions for scientific meetings including: monitoring deadlines, circulating drafts to authors, making approved revisions, and submitting abstracts prior to deadlines.

Coordinate creation of posters for scientific meetings including: designing format of poster, circulating drafts to authors, making approved revisions, and overseeing printing.

Assist with production of slides for oral presentations

Provide assistance to MCORRP Manager for the FMD Registry

Assist president of fmdsa.org in maintaining website.

Required Qualifications* A bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare area is required along with knowledge of cardiovascular disease, anticoagulation, and FMD. Prior experience in anticoagulation is desired. Experience formatting and producing research abstracts, posters, and presentations is also required. The ideal candidate will also have excellent organizational skills; be proficient in the English language and have the ability to communicate concisely in both written and oral forms; the ability to work independently with little direct supervision; be detail oriented and accurate with data entry; have experience training others to abstract and enter research data; and have proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and Adobe Live Cycle.

Additional Information This position is responsible to the M-CORRP nurse manager, the MAQI 2 project manager, the Clinical Director of the Cardiovascular Center, and the Director of Vascular Medicine and Anticoagulation Services.
