Summary of Responsibilities:

The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for day to day end user support and maintenance of the company desktops, laptops, and workstation printers. This is an hourly non-exempt position reporting to the IT Department Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

1: Receive and respond to support calls from end users regarding their desktop environment. Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues, identify and remove malware from company systems.

2. Clean, repair, and maintain company computers, printers, and related equipment. Maintain an inventory of replacement equipment in ready to deploy status.

3. Assist IT department manager in troubleshooting server application issues, networking issues, and database issues as needed.

4. Assist IT department manager in generating and maintaining ERP system reports as needed.

5. Maintain physical network infrastructure.

6. Recommend product and process improvements. Assess hardware status and request replacements or parts as needed.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

1. Certified A+, N+, MCP/MCTS or equivalent

2. Minimum one year experience supporting end users in a Windows environment

3. Minimum one year supporting Microsoft Office platform

4. Ability to use remote support tools as well as interacting face to face with the end user.

5. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

6. Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Additional Desired Qualifications:

1. Experience monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows Server 2003, 2008; VMWare, Veeam, Network Switches, various CAD software.

2. Familiar with relational databases and Crystal Reports

3. Experience using ticketing systems (Connectwise specifically)

4. Experience working around heavy machinery and with shop floor safety.

5. Certified MCSA / MCITP
